Sapsasa Sports

Boys Soccer

After the boys winning through their first matches they moved on to play Burnside PS in Week 4. Unfortunately, Burnside proved to be too strong and the boys came away with a loss and are now knocked out of the competition. Well done boys for getting this far and thank you to Nicholas Georgiou for coaching.

Girls 5-a-Side Soccer

In Week 6 we had a small group of girls play in a 5-a-Side soccer carnival against schools in our district. Mitcham dominated all day and did not let a single goal be scored against them while themselves scoring over 50 goals to win the carnival. Congratulations girls.

Basketball

We had a girls and boys team travel to Wayville Sports Centre on Monday Week 3 to play in the Sapsasa Basketball Carnival. Both teams fought hard all day and despite playing some good basketball they did not have much success to move on to the State Finals.

Athletics

On Friday Week 7 students from years 4 to 6 braved the windy and wet conditions on our School Closure Day to compete at Coastal Districts Little Athletics Club in our District Athletics Carnival. Our students had great success with many placing high in their events. Congratulations Lucas A, August M, Charlie F, Yasmin F, Joseph C, Annabelle F and Aleks B who were successful in making it into our City South District team to compete at the State Athletics Day on Monday Week 10.
