Touch Football

Mitcham Primary School participates in Terms 1 and 4 in the Summer Touch Football Junior Competition season.

Teams are made up predominantly by year level, but depending on numbers, some mixed year level teams may occur. Girls and boys from Years 4 to 6 may play.

Coaches & Team Managers

Each team requires a coach and a team manager, usually a volunteer parent. Please consider volunteering for one of these positions. If a team does not have a coach or team manager, that team will not be able to participate.

Subject to availability, a coach may be outsourced. If this occurs, an additional coach’s fee will be payable at the end of the term. This comes at a cost of $15 for each coached session and $10 for each game on the weekend.

Team Sizes & Players

Please ensure that all forms are returned prior to the due date. This not only helps ensure your child has a place on a team, but also provides the coordinator time to ensure team sizes are not too large and allows more game time for your child.

There will be no preferences to placement; this is a great way to learn invaluable teamwork skills and meet new people.

Uniform

Basketball top (supplied by the school), navy blue shorts (with no pockets), and sports shoes.

Registration and Fee Payment

$170.00 ($8.50 a week) for Terms 2 and 3 combined. (This includes a registration fee, game fee per person (x20 games), hireof a uniform top, equipment, and an end-of-year trophy.
