From the Library Term 3 Week 3

Our students read a lot during lockdown. Was your child one of them? Many students have been to the library and added the book they read to our ‘lockdown’ display. It’s not too late! If your child would like to add to the display please send them to the library.

Reminders

Book Week is week 6. On Friday 27 August we will be celebrating Book Week with a dress up day. It would be wonderful to see students come to school dressed as their favourite book character or dress to the theme Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds.

We will be hosting a Great Book Swap during week 6 this term with all funds raised going to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. We ask that you send your child with a book/s to donate to the Great Book Swap. Books are being collected in the library now. During Book Week (week 6) children will have the opportunity to choose a book to take home in return for a gold coin donation.

The Premier’s Reading Challenge closes on 3 September. Please encourage your child to complete the Challenge. Forms are available in the library and more information can be found online http://www.premiersreadingchallenge.sa.edu.au/PRC/
