CRICKET COORDINATOR

Michelle Gabrisch - Email: michelle.gabrisch115@schools.sa.edu.au

  • If your child is injured or unwell and cannot participate in the sport at any time, please contact the Sports Coordinator ASAP, and notify your child’s coach and team manager.
COACHES & TEAM MANAGERS

Each team requires a coach and a team manager, usually a volunteer parent. Please consider volunteering for one of these positions. If a team does not have a coach or team manager that team will not be able to participate in the cricket season.*

Subject to availability a coach may be outsourced. If this occurs, an additional coach's fee will be payable at the end of the term.  This comes at a cost of $15 for each coached session and $10 for each game on the weekend.

TEAM SIZES & PLAYERS

Please ensure that all forms are returned prior to the due date. This not only helps ensure your child has a place on a team but also provides the coordinator time to ensure team sizes are not too large and allows more game time for your child. There will be no preferences to placement; this is a great way to learn invaluable teamwork skills and meet new people.

If the predicted temperature on the Bureau of Meteorology website (www.bom.gov.au) at 12 noon the day before is 34 degrees or above, all practices will be cancelled.

If there is lightning or hail, matches and practice will be cancelled immediately. If rain falls during practice the outdoor activities will be curtailed and the children will be taken to a sheltered location. Practices may be cancelled the previous day if all children can be notified. Coaches are responsible for contacting players and families. If coaches are unable to cancel practices at short notice, they will retain the responsibility for supervising the players until they have been collected or can dismiss them at the usual time and in the prearranged manner if parents have been advised of the earlier dismissal. Parents are encouraged to monitor the weather conditions and have children collected early if the weather makes it impossible to practice.
